Traditionally , Lhasa Apsos were kept by the priories and nobility in Tibet as indoor watch dogs. They might sleep by their experts and with their high intelligence and powerful sense of hearing, would warn of any interlopers. Top ranking visitors to Tibet also received them as gifts. They're also known as the small bark sentinel lion dogs since totally grown Lhasa Apsos could look like tiny lions with all of their hair. Both of my Lhasa Apsos lived past the age of 15 years. I've been told reports of others living even longer. In appearance, the Lhasa Apso is similar to the Shih Tzu breed.
The face of a Lhasa Apso isn't as flat as that of the Shih Tzu. One thing that all potential owners should definitely know is that having a fur ball like a Lhasa Apso will need plenty of upkeep. Large dog beds. The long hair of this breed needs consistent care. If left abandoned even for 1 or 2 days, the Lhasa Apso hair will mat up in clumps that can't be untangled. As a pet owner, doubtless you wish to give your dog or moggy the most conscientious care practical. And to round it off, it's simple ; making pet food at home is maybe a ton less time-intensive than you'll have thought. Animals, because they're colour blind, select their foods by smell. Moggies are fussy eaters and it's not sensible to constantly feed them their fave foods. Shortly they'll refuse to eat anything more ; it's your job to see your kitty has a well balanced diet. One must be noisy in the right coaching of the Lhasa Apso as this breed will test the new master. Lhasa Apsos are utterly unswerving and loving with their gurus but many may not be keen on strangers irrespective of how tractable they are. Little children may get clutzy and incidentally poke Lhasas in the eyes or squish them too hard.
